But I watched it again on our home theatre system and of course the music was better, but somehow that first viewing (know what I mean?) was special. Maybe it was the fact that we were on vacation, maybe it was the karma of Kaanapali, or maybe I'm just such a G&R fan that it doesn't matter. Since it's on YouTube, I was able to give him the url and later that evening I could hear it playing from his room while out on the lanai. As soon as the music started, someone from the luau below yelled up, "I love Guns & Roses!" I later learned that person was the renown NYC attorney Benjamin Pred who obviously was a big fan of the band and asked me where he could stream the concert.
Even with all these compromises the film was awesome, the band rocked, and the music cut through the audio haze. There was also a noisy luau on the beach right below our condo rental. It was shown on a tiny screen in the kitchen of our vacation rental in Kaanapali and the audio was from the miniscule speakers on that portable tv. I saw this film while vacationing in Hawaii.
